Costume Design + Fabrication + Management for Stage and Screen
Creating is one of the most single satisfying things I do. Designing and fabricating costumes for film, television and theater for the last three decades has given me so many life skills and lessons on collaboration, communication, and creating with teams of artists in multiple disciplines. It has also given me a unique perspective on how I create my mixed media pieces and baskets.
Textiles allow me the ability to tell stories, whether on stage, in a shadow box or the making of a basket. They bring me joy, work my problem solving abilities and every single project teaches me something I bring back to other parts of my life.
Designing has taken me all over the world and given me the opportunity to visit many cultures and bring all that knowledge and inspiration to my life and to my art.
